Wilma Jean (Whitson) Small

Wilma Jean Whitson Small 87, of Wheatland, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, January 21, 2023.

Wilma was born on November 29, 1935 in Boonville to the late May Monroe Whitson and Melvin “Bud” Whitson.

Wilma worked as a laborer for several factories before retiring from the United States Postal Service. She served on the board for the City of Wheatland and was a member of the Washington Church of Christ. Wilma enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.

Those left to mourn the loss of Wilma are; children, Talia Small (Jayden Mcintire) of Wheatland, Tracy Noble (Dan) of Port Richey, FL, Rhonda Bruner (Dan) of Wheatland, Gary Small (Valarie Robertson) of Wheatland,; grandchildren, Tony Storms, Jessie Merydith (Phillip), George Brandon Cassidy, Daniel Nobel (Candace), Chasity Williams (Joe), Sam Dent (Kira), Scott Donaldson, Shawn Merydith (Bonnie), Steven Small (April), Hunter Small, Jennifer Freeman, Amy Small, Misty Churchwell; thirty-two grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; and a dear family friend, Kathy Jo Peck; great-granddaughter, Casara Merydith (Jeremy) who were caregivers for Wilma. 

She was preceded in death by; her parents; husband, James M. Small; siblings, Verlin and Leo Whitson, and Betty Whitson; children, Norman Storms, Butch Small, and Linda Donaldson; and a granddaughter, Cassie Small. 

There will be a visitation held on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes, Oaktown Chapel. A service will follow on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Oaktown Cemetery.
