Tracy Marcroft Obituary

Tracy Ann Marcroft, age 67, passed away peacefully on December 30th after a courageous and prolonged journey with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease.

Born on March 17th, 1958, in Vincennes IN, Tracy lived a life defined by kindness and devotion to family. She was known for her sweet smile, her ability to make others feel welcome, and her deep love for those closest to her.

Tracy was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a steady presence in the lives of many. Before illness altered the course of her life, she found joy in her family and friends. She exhibited a vibrant spirit and thoughtful nature.

Diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s, Tracy faced the disease with grace and quiet strength. Though the illness gradually took much from her, it never diminished the love she gave or the impact she had on those around her. Her family is deeply grateful to the caregivers and medical professionals who supported her with compassion and dignity throughout her journey.

She is survived by her husband Charlie, her daughter Tessa (Jerrid), brothers Chuck (Maria) & Jeff (Gail) and 9grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Sam and Virgina Marcroft, a son, Ian Theriac, a brother Sam Marcroft and a sister Toni Henry.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 12:30 at St. John’s Catholic Church, 803 Main St.Vincennes, IN 47591.Visitation will take place at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. Vincennes, IN 47591, beginning at 10:00 AM.

Following the services, family and friends are warmly invited to join in a celebration of Tracy’s life and a dinner celebration at the Parish Center, 103 S. 3rd Street, Vincennes, IN 47591.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of choice supporting Alzheimer’s research and caregiver support.
