Tina Gerbig Obituary

Tina Marie "Klotz" Gerbig, aged 56, passed away on September 18th, 2025, in Vincennes, Indiana. Born to Ernest and Katherine "Saundt" Gross on June 19th, 1969, in Lehigh, Pennsylvania, Tina led a life of devotion and kindness to those she loved.

Tina's heart was first and foremost with her family. She is survived by a loving and extensive family, which includes her children Michael Gerbig Jr., Kelly Gerbig (Josue Linares), Marie Gerbig (Danny Umpleby), and Debra Hambrick (Michael), Kaleb Wilson Sr., Damon Wilson, Anthony Marquez, and many more she took in as her own; and her adoring 19+ grandchildren Hailey Marquez (Payton), David Marquez, Isabella Marquez, Baby Rodriguez, Grace Gerbig, Robert LaMar, Jaxton Wilson, Eli Umpleby, Everly Umpleby, Louis Gerbig, Kaleb Wilson, Ella Wilson, Tony Gerbig, Emma Hambrick, Robert Hambrick, Isaiah Hambrick, Amya Hambrick, Ethan Hambrick, Ashton Hambrick, and Kaitlynn Ragsdale, along with one great-grandchild, Luka LaMar. While she was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Michael Gerbig Sr., the love they shared continues to ripple through their family.

Tina's life was a testament to steadfast love and dedication. October 28, 1989, marked the union with her husband, Michael, in a marriage filled with shared dreams and compassion until his passing.

Tina was an individual with numerous passions. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, her face lighting up with a joy that reflected the depth of her love for them. Tina found joy in collecting special trinkets and was an avid animal lover. Puzzles captivated her mind, while her love for saltwater taffy and the color purple illustrated the sweetness and vibrancy she brought into every space she entered.

Above all, Tina will be remembered as a matriarch of love and friendliness, touching the lives of everyone she met with kindness. It wasn’t just her words that were welcoming, but her actions too; an open door, a comforting hug, or a helping hand to those in need. As we bid farewell to Tina Marie "Klotz" Gerbig, we celebrate the loving spirit she so generously shared with the world. Her legacy of love lives on through the beautiful family she nurtured and the countless lives she brightened throughout her journey.
