Thomas (Tom) Paul Smith

Thomas "Tom" Paul Smith of Vincennes, Indiana, a loving husband, father, son, and brother passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024, at the age of 33. Born on July 23, 1990, to parents Penny Dee Summers Smith and Martin Earl Smith, Tom remained a lifelong resident of Knox County, a place he adored and where he built his family.

Tom is survived by his wife, Kaylie Smith of Bruceville; his beloved children, Brooklynn Smith, Bristol Smith both of Bicknell, Hadlie Strange, and Brayson Smith both of Bruceville, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life. His devoted parents, his sisters, Megan Smith and Tiffany Getchell, both of Bicknell, sister-in-law, Katrina Strange of Bicknell, and his aunts, uncles, adoring nieces and nephews, and friends will forever treasure the memories they have shared.

A hardworking coal miner by profession, Tom was respected for his dedication and knowledge. His love for the great outdoors was evident through his passion for hunting and fishing, establishing him as a true outdoorsman at heart. His warm presence and jovial spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Tom was greeted in heaven by his beloved grandparents, Helen Smith, Billy Jack, and Rose Summers, and cousin, Micheal Smith, whose legacy of love and resilience he carried with him throughout his life. His memory will continue to inspire and live on through the lives he touched.

There will be a memorial visitation on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Bicknell Chapel with a service immediately following at 1:00 PM also at the funeral home. Burial will be done privately in
