Thomas (Tom) J. Fish

Thomas (Tom) J. Fish, 93, of Bicknell, passed away August 28, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.
Tom was born Friday, February 3, 1928, in Bicknell In, the Son of Thomas E. and Lulu "Hagemeier" Fish. Tom served 2 years in the Navy, leaving high school his Junior year to join WWII, then he returned to finish high school. He married Carolyn (Lawton) on December 12, 1957. He retired July 29, 1983 from Crane as a railroad engineer after 33 years, and then from Duke Energy Edwardsport Power Plant after 25 years as a security guard. He was also a member of the American Legion, enjoyed being outside, visiting with family, friends and neighbors, feeding and watching the birds, squirrels, hummingbirds, and barn swallow.
Tom is survived by three children, Tommy L Fish (Claudia Myers) of Bicknell, IN, Debbie Fish of Bicknell, IN, and Denise Ridgway (Jim) of Bicknell, IN and one grandson, Brett Ridgway of Bicknell, In, and several Nieces Nephews and Cousins. He is preceded in death by his spouse Carolyn Fish; his parents, Thomas E. and Lulu "Hagemeier" Fish; and three siblings, Melvin H Fish, Wilma Chastain, and Corlena Hunter.
A Funeral will take place at 12 P.M. Wednesday Sept 1, 2021 at the Fredrick & Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes Bicknell Chapel with Jon McKinnon officiating. Friends and family may visit from 10 until the time of the service also at the funeral home in bicknell. He will be laid to rest in the Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Donations may be made in Tom's memory to the North Knox Social Ministries or North Knox Backpack Blessings. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.fredrickandson.com.
