Steven Bowman Obituary

Steven D. Bowman, 67, of Washington, passed away on June 17, 2023, in Indianapolis. Born on December 27, 1955, in Washington, he was the son of the late Ruth and Harlan Bowman.

Steven is survived by his loving children, Becky Wilson (Allen), Steven Travis Bowman (Holly), and Tim Bowman (Kayla); his cherished grandchildren, Brooklyn, Chelsea, Michael, Kinsley, and Elias; a sister, Deloris Raney; and a special friend, Frances Russell. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an uncle, Paul Bowman, and an aunt, Wanda Bowman.

A proud Veteran, Steven served in the United States Navy before establishing himself as a highly skilled Master Carpenter. Throughout his career, he worked on various projects, including home repairs, building houses, and framing work. Known as a "Jack of all trades," he never hesitated to lend a hand to family and friends in need.

In his free time, Steven enjoyed fishing and spending quality time with his beloved grandchildren. He loved nothing more than sharing in the simple pleasures of life, such as enjoying a derby ice cream cone from Masons.

Steven will always be remembered as a thoughtful and selfless individual. His kind spirit and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on the lives of those who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know him.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.with a service immediately following also at the funeral home.
