Shirley Jean Wilkes

Shirley Jean Wilkes, 86 of Vincennes, went to het heavenly home on Thursday, December 9, 2021.
She was born in Vincennes on May 15, 1935 to the late Edmond C. Bono and Mary Ellis Bono. Shirley "she was owner of "Shirl's Shop" located in the Trace building.  She shared her craft with many in the community. She enjoyed; spending time with her family, ceramics, painting, china painting, and wood carving. Shirley was a devoted member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Shirley is survived by; husband, Milton Henry Wilkes; children, Ernest Wilkes (Melody) of Seymour, Cindi Ouellette (Larry) of Fishers, and Scott Wilkes (Kristen) of Bruceville; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim Bono of Vincennes, and Mike Bono (Sheila) of Lake Mary, FL.
She was preceded in death by; her parents; one son, Kenneth Clark Wilkes, and one brother, Bud Bono.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Fredrick and Son McClure- Utt Funeral Homes, Vincennes Chapel with a service immediately following at 1:00 P.M.
