Shila Kay Webster went to her heavenly home on June 14, 2023, at the age of 77, in Washington, IN. Born on September 9, 1945, in Bicknell, IN, Shila was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Shila was the cherished wife of Fred Webster, with whom she shared a lasting bond and built a beautiful life together. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving daughter Tammy Dunn (Chuck) of Bicknell, IN, one grandchild, Caleb Dunn (Tabby) of Bridgeport IL, three great-grandchildren, her brother Vaughn Sanders of Bicknell, IN, and her sister Karla Roark of Edwardsport IN. Shila was preceded in death by her dear parents, Roy and Wanda Sanders, a sister,Cheryl Morley,  and a cherished grandson Landon Dunn.
With a passion for learning and personal growth, Shila earned an Associate's Degree and went on to have a successful and varied career in the food service industry. She worked as a cook at numerous establishments throughout her life and love of cooking with others.
In her personal life, Shila's interests were wide-ranging and reflective of her zest for life and her boundless curiosity. She enjoyed cooking and frequently relied on her culinary skills to bring joy and comfort to those around her. Shila cherished life's simple pleasures, including taking trips and vacations with loved ones, and had a special fondness for attending local festivals. She was a member of Bethel Church.
Visitation will be held at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes, Bicknell Chapel, Monday, June 19, from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 20, at 2:00 pm at Bethel Church with burial immediately following at Bethel Church Cemetery.
