Shawn Patrick Wininger, 38, of Indianapolis, Indiana,(formerly of Washington, Indiana) a devoted husband, loving father, and a man of great spirit, passed away on March 4, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on December 28, 1985, in Vincennes, Shawn cultivated a lifetime of cherished memories for all who knew him.

Shawn leaves behind a legacy of love, embodied by his wife, Ta’Juana Arila Wininger; their children, Ryla Arila, Oliver Wininger, and Jameson Wininger; his loving mother, Stephanie Bowman, and step-father David Bowman (who raised him as his own); and his beloved father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Carlita Arila. His charismatic light will also live on through his grandfather, Phil Wininger; his siblings, Gregory Aldrich, Whitney Jellison, Caleb Aldrich, and Kelly Aldrich; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were touched by his spirited presence. He was preceded in death by his sister, Stormy Aldrich; an infant brother, Loren Aldrich; his grandparents, Shirley Wininger, Alice Aldrich, and Mary Joyce Bowman; aunt, Susan Wininger; and his uncle, Phil Wininger.

Shawn was a dedicated heavy equipment operator for IMI Concrete, where his strong work ethic and handy skills were greatly admired by his colleagues. His commitment to his craft was second only to his love for his family. Shawn cherished every moment spent with his children and embraced the joy they brought to his life. His love for music resounded in the home, creating a soundtrack to the many memories they shared.

Remembered for his loving nature and his ability to brighten any room, Shawn's spirited soul and the happy moments he created will forever be etched in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

There will be a funeral service held on Friday, March 8, 20224 at 1:00 PM with a visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Entombment will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
