Sandra “Sandy” Lee McGowan, 59, of Vincennes, Indiana, embraced her peaceful final journey on December 15, 2023, Born on November 1, 1964, in her lifelong hometown of Vincennes, Sandy’s life was a testament to love, service, and the joy found in simple pleasures.

Sandy married  Allan McGowan on September 3, 1983 in Vincennes. Her love story continued through her sons, Tyler Allan McGowan (Sara) of Washington, and Tanner Lee McGowan (Julia) of Vincennes. Sandy’s joy multiplied with the arrival of her adored grandchildren, Brooks, Jack, Miller, and Finnegan, whose adventures and laughter ignited endless happiness in her world.

Her spirit is carried on by her father, Norman Lee Miller, and her sister, Kelly Wehrheim (Mark), both of Vincennes. Sandy now joins her mother, Linda Lou Yarbrough Miller, in death.

As a customer service representative at German American Bank, Sandy’s dedication and warmth touched the lives of countless individuals.

Sandy’s world was brightened by her grandchildren, enriched by family gatherings, and comforted by the loyal companionship of her dogs Pokey and Mulligan. Her legacy of love, care, and unwavering faith will continue to resonate through all who were privileged to know her.

Visitation will be on, Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Vincennes Chapel from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on , Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Old Cathedral Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vincennes Pet Port, 1128 S. River Rd. , IN 47591. Online condolences may be left at www.fredrickandson.com
