Sandra Sue Skinner

Sandra Sue Skinner, beloved mother and cherished friend, passed away on June 17, 2024, at the age of 90 in Vincennes, IN. Born on January 10, 1934, in Oakland City, Sandra's life was a testament to the virtues of love, kindness, and wisdom which she embodied throughout her days.

After attending college, Sandra dedicated her life to nurturing her home and family. Sandra was a voracious reader and in her younger years, she found community and solace in the congregation of the Bicknell Methodist Church.

Sandra's memory will be treasured by her son, D.J. Skinner (Pam), her daughter, Susan Becher (Mark), both of Bicknell, IN, and her cousin Beverly Kirves of Bayonet Point, FL. Her legacy of warmth and guidance will live on through them. Sandra was preceded in death by her loving parents, William Otterbein Pancake and Zetta “Mason” Pancake, as well as several of her siblings.

Her light and love will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. 

She will be laid to rest privately at the Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
