Ronald “Ron” F. Miles

Ronald “Ron” F. Miles went on to glory on October 5, 2023, after being born on February 19, 1940, in Washington, Indiana. This noble son of the late Francis Miles and Wilma Reddick Miles has been reunited in the heavens with his beloved wife, Otra E. Miles.

A 1959 graduate of Petersburg High School, Ron served a productive tenure at Texas Gas Transmission for 28 years before his well-earned retirement. His hands were always busy whether tending to his beloved garden, uncovering history in mushroom and arrowhead hunting, or gathering with family and loved ones.

His legacy will continue to thrive through his two devoted sons, Joe Miles (Becky) and Mike Miles (JoAnn), six beloved grandchildren, eighteen cherished great-grandchildren, and his supportive sister, Loretta Stieneker. Brother Ron, your life was a testament to the virtues of hard work, commitment, and paternal love. Amen.

Ron was also preceded in death by; three brothers, Richard “Dick” Miles, William “Bill” Miles, and Jack Miles.

There will be a visitation on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut St. Washington, IN 47501. He will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery (Odon) next to his beloved wife privately on Monday, October 9, 2023.The family welcomes online condolences to be left at www.gillsince1872.com.
