Richard Woody Flaningam

Richard Woody Flaningam, 77 of Vincennes, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, March 30, 2023.

Richard was born on September 3, 1945 in Crawfordsville, IN to the late Francis ‘May’ Flaningam and Dwight Flaningam.

Richard was a farmer until 1983 and then worked for USDA as a farm service agency loan officer. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, muscle cars, guns,planes,and trains.

Those left to mourn the loss of Richard are; his loving children, Gene Flaningam (Angie) of Vincennes, Marc Flaningam (Amy) of Vincennes,, Shawn Flaningam (Holly) of Vincennes, and Bradley Flaningam (Christine) of Emison, IN; a sister, Carolyn Flaningam of Crawfordsville, IN; and eleven grandchildren,Macy Ellett (Lance), Gabriel, Caleb, Jonah,Connor (Mason), Benjamin (Natalie), Madeline, Avery, Brooklyn,Alivia,and Easton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Flaningam and Dwight Flaningam.

There will be a visitation held at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes, Vincennes Chapel on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a Vigil Service concluding at 7:00 PM.Burial will follow in St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Darlington, IN on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM.The family welcomes online condolences to be left at www.fredrickandson.com.
