Philip Sievers, age 73, of Oaktown Indiana passed away at his home Tuesday morning of January 16, 2024. He was born January 5, 1951, to the late Maurice and Ruth Sievers of Vincennes Indiana. Philip was the baby of five siblings. He was a 2nd Class Petty Officer in the Navy. His duty was a parachute rigger. Phil was also known as Hoofy to many. He worked at Essex Wire for over 20 years and
later worked at Ceres solutions as a driver and at Melon Acres. The words that best described Phil were sarcastic, stubborn, a dry weird sense of humor. He will best be remembered for being a jokester. He loved to give little hand painted gifts such as mini outhouses and painted popsicle characters. He was kind and generous to those he cared about. He was quiet and kept to himself most of the time. His favorite thing to do was fish at his nephew Paul Kaiser's
Pond. He loved to read books and watch nature. He will be missed by many. He leaves behind a daughter, Anessa Kirchoff (Robert) and three grandsons Ben Auberry, Colten Foster and Logan Foster. He has a great grandson Liam Auberry. He also leaves behind his siblings, Sam Sievers (Anthonette), Alan Sievers (Judy) and Judy (Mike)Thurston. Philip was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Ruth Sievers, sister, Marian "B" Kaiser and
brother Thomas Sievers. Celebration of Life services will be determined later. Memorial Donations can be
made to Carlise Library at 201 S Ledgerwood, Carlise Indiana. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.fredrickandson.com. Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt funeral Homes Oaktown Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
