Paul Michael Hageman

Paul Michael Hageman, age 69, of Wheatland, Indiana, passed away on December 6, 2023, in Evansville, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, hard work, and treasured memories. Born on May 20, 1954, in Vincennes, Indiana, Paul was a son to the late Bernard Boniface Hageman and Theresa Florence (Deem) Hageman. He lived a life characterized by dedication to his family, his work, and his passions.

Paul was the beloved husband of Lori Hageman, with whom he married, August 17, 1974, in their shared hometown of Vincennes. Their union was blessed with three sons, who proved to be the joy of his life: Curtis Hageman (Erica) of Vincennes, Eric Hageman (Ronica) of Haubstadt, and Adam Hageman of Wheatland. His legacy further lives on through his seven cherished grandchildren; Kenady, Marlie, Reyce, Mason, Ace, Wyatt, and Cyrus.

A man of faith, Paul was a devoted member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Parish. His siblings, Bernie Hageman (Carol), Tom Hageman (Dolly), Cherie Bauer (Dave), and Bill Hageman (Tammy), will miss his spirited nature and unwavering support. Together, they share memories of Paul that will continually resonate with warmth and laughter.

Professionally, Paul took pride as a skilled heavy equipment operator. His work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in every task he undertook.Paul’s interests were simple yet profound. He harbored a deep love for camping, gardening, and fishing, activities through which he often bonded with his family. His enthusiasm for Notre Dame Football sparked lively conversations and spirited cheer during the season.

A man who embraced life with open arms, Paul's presence was a haven of joy for his family and friends. He will be remembered and missed as the foundation of love, the beacon of guidance, and the heart of all our cherished gatherings.

There will be a visitation on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Vincennes Chapel from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and a Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. at Old Cathedral Catholic Church to be officiated by Father Tony Ernst. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
