Mary “Jill” Theriac Obituary

Mary JILL Theriac, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, left this earth on March 18, 2024. Jill was born on July 26, 1953, in Vincennes, IN, to loving parents, Charlotte and Bud Theriac, the 3rd of seven children.

She was a member of  St. John's, parish, where she attended elementary school. She then moved on to St Rose Academy and graduated from Rivet High School in 1971. After graduation she followed her brother Tim to San Francisco, CA, then to Port Townsend, Wa. She then traveled to Denver, CO, where she was employed for 25 years at Qwest Telephone Corporation.  Following her retirement she returned to Vincennes to care for her mother, Charlotte.

An adventurer at heart, Jill’s love for travel took her to corners of the earth where she captured the beauty of this world through her amazing eye for photography. Her compassion for animals and babies reflected a soul of pure warmth, and her talents in ceramics showcased her creativity. An accomplished swimmer, Jill, also found joy in scuba diving and skiing, passions that filled her life with fun and adventure.

Jill leaves behind a legacy of love and memories with siblings Jane Theriac-Kruger of Ashland OR, Tim Theriac (Gene) Dixon of Walla Walla WA, John Theriac (Melanie) of Vincennes, IN, Carol Schickedanz (Frank) of Fort Worth, TX, Nick Theriac (Londa) of Vincennes, IN, Sandy Theriac-Mueting (Jim Mueting) of Seattle WA, and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceding her in passing are her dear parents and her nephew, Ian Theriac.

Jill's memory will continue to light the paths of those fortunate enough to have known her. An open house will be held in honor of Jill's life on Sunday March 24th from 2 to 4pm at the family home, 217 South 9th St. Vincennes.
