Mary Joyce (Leinbach) Lenahan

(Mary) Joyce Lenahan, 89 of Vincennes, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
She was born in Knox County on July 18, 1931 to the late Sylvester and Nelle (Baker) Leinbach.
After graduating from Lincoln High School, Joyce began working at Lenahan & Konen where she met her future husband Bob. They were married in 1955 and raised 2 children, Carole & R.J.
She returned to college after the family business closed and graduated from Vincennes University in 1976 with her Nursing degree.
She worked as the office nurse for Dr. Donald Snider for several years, and later worked for Preferred Home Healthcare. She made many lifelong friends throughout her career.
Joyce was a talented artist- needlework, sewing, music, and stained glass. She loved playing her organ and was most proud of the stained glass
lampshades that she and her husband made together. She also loved her pets, and was known as the "Swan Lady" on Mirror Lake.
She was a devoted member of the Old Cathedral Catholic Church and loved spending time with her family.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Carole Wirth (Doug) of Vincennes; 3 grandchildren- Ryan Lenahan, Spencer Wirth, and Collin Wirth; and 2 great-grandchildren, Kinsley Lenahan & Brixen Wirth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Robert (Bob) Lenahan; her son, Robert Joseph (R.J.); siblings, John B. (Deanna) Leinbach & Jeanne (Morris) Johnson.
The family wants to thank the staff at the Lodge of the Wabash, as well as the many friends who helped Joyce the last few years.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Old Cathedral Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 12:00 P.M.
