Loretta England Obituary

Loretta "Smith" England, aged 85, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on June 6th, 2024, in Evansville Indiana. Born on August 10th, 1938 in Greene County, IN to the late Isom & Elva (Goodman) Smith. Loretta was always an outdoor enthusiast. Whether she was riding horses, doing yard work, spending time with family, or reading books, she was always a light in the lives of those around her. Loretta was married on October 14th, 1958 to the late Norman L. England. They shared 55 years of love and adventures together with their 2 children.

Loretta was the heart of a large and adoring family of siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, she was adored and loved by all. She is survived by a legacy of love, including her children, Aaron England (Sheena) and Amanda Hagen (Mark). Her cherished grandchildren, Taylor, Josh, Sarobbie (Kane Henderson), Heaven, Kodie, Xavier, Pearl, Kaleb, Devin, and Stuart; her beloved great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Addilyn, and her grand-dog Hazel Mae. She also leaves behind her caring siblings; Jerry Smith, Brenda Julian, Wilma Small, and Debbie Mullins. Loretta now rejoins in eternal rest her late beloved husband, Norman L. England.

Loretta received her GED in September 1958 from Marco High School, after her education was delayed due to being a caregiver for her four younger siblings. She then proceeded to dedicate many years to the GE manufacturing company, from which she retired to care for her grandchildren. For the last 30 years she was a dedicated member of Freelandville Christian Church. After its closing she then attended the Bicknell First Christian Church.
