Kevin Scott Stone Sr., known to most as Scott, passed away on May 1, 2026, in Washington, Indiana, at the age of 57. He was born on March 2, 1969, in Paoli, Indiana, and lived a life marked by the simple joys that made each day meaningful.

Scott worked at Perdue Farms, where he was known for his willingness to do his part without complaint. He approached his responsibilities with sincerity and dedication, and his years of employment reflected the same steadfast character that guided him throughout his life.

Outside of work, Scott found happiness in the activities he loved most. He enjoyed bicycling and bowling, pastimes that brought him both relaxation and enjoyment. He also attended the Church of Christ in Loogootee, where his faith was an important part of his life and provided comfort and guidance through the years.

Scott is survived by his son, Kevin Stone Jr., and his granddaughters, Kaylee and Lilah Stone, who brought him great joy and pride. He treasured his role as a father and grandfather, and his family will miss him deeply.

Scott was preceded in death by his son, Jaret Stone, and by his parents, John William and Barbara Kay “Houston” Stone. Their memory remained an important part of his life, and he carried their influence with him throughout the years.

Those who knew Scott will remember him as a man of quiet dignity and compassion. His life was one of ordinary moments made special by the love he gave and the relationships he built. He leaves behind a legacy of family devotion and enduring affection that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him best.

There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home. A service will follow at 12:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Russ Jordan.
