Kari Vieck Obituary

Kari Marie (Taylor) Vieck 62, a beacon of love and joy, graced this world on November 10, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio, and concluded her beautiful journey on May 25, 2024, in Vincennes, Indiana, surrounded by the warmth of her family's love.

Embodying the pure essence of a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Kari dedicated her life to nurturing her family and making her home a haven of happiness. Her marriage to Terry Vieck on July 5, 1980, in Vincennes, Indiana, was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Kari's tender care and guidance blossomed in the lives of her children, Craig Vieck (Sarah), Taylor Vieck (Megan), Katie Johnson (Brandon), and Kelly Eck (Logan), all of whom reside in Vincennes and continue to honor her legacy.

Blessed with eight grandchildren – Gabe, Eloise, Caroline, William Vieck, Eli Johnson, Max, Ruthie, and Sam Eck – Kari reveled in every moment spent with them, imparting wisdom and laughter in equal measure. The Vieck family tree also includes Kari's loving mother-in-law, Mary Vieck, and her cherished parents, Kathy Fauson Taylor and Gary Taylor, who supported her throughout her life's adventures.

Though predeceased by her brother, Rob Taylor, and father-in-law, Richard Vieck, Kari's memory will be perpetuated in the stories and affection of those who knew her.

Kari was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Parish and the Harmony Society, while her passions such as boating at Patoka Lake, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with her family, filled her days with joy and fulfillment.

Kari Marie Vieck will be profoundly missed, yet celebrated for her unwavering love, compassionate spirit, and the serene strength she provided to everyone fortunate enough to be a part of her life.
