Obituary

John Dalton Garner Jr. “J.D.”76 of Carlisle, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, March 9, 2023.

He was born on August 7, 1946 in Oaktown to the late John D. Garner Sr.  and Lena M. Garner.

J.D. was a 1964 graduate of North Knox and retired from being a heavy equipment operator. J.D. was a member off the Knox County Coon Hunters Association and the Shaker Prairie Christian Church. He enjoyed hunting, horses, and spending time with his family.

Those left to mourn the loss of J.D. are; children, Cal Garner (Sandy) of Carlisle, Alicia Hulen (Steve) of Lawrenceville, and Jackson Garner (Christine) of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Trent Hulen, Stacia Hulen, Cole Hulen, Casey Garner, Gage Hulen, Shane Garner, and Haley Maulding; and one sister, Edra Caps (Jim) of Owensboro.

There will be a service on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes, Oaktown Chapel with visitation from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Oaktown cemetery. Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes are honored to assist the family of Mr. Garner with arrangements.Online condolences are welcome at www.fredrickandson.com.
