Jerry Wayne Miller

Jerry (Joe) Wayne Miller, 73, of Bicknell, passed away August 05, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville. Joe was born December 27, 1946, in Vincennes Indiana, the Son of George Alfred and Norma Faye "Dickey" Miller. He graduated from North Knox in 1965 and then married Betty Jo (Duncan) on September 4th, 1965. Joe was a retired coal miner, an avid fisherman, and an avid IU Basketball fan, he loved his family and his grandchildren. He was a proud member of the U.M.W.A.
Joe was survived by his children, Tammy Pirtle (Lonnie) of Freelandville, and Brad Miller (Andrea) of Vincennes; grandchildren, Dusty Pirtle, Casey Pirtle (Emily), Nathan Miller, Nicholas Miller, Helena Miller, and Noah Miller; great-grandchildren, Sadie Pirtle, Gunner Pirtle, and Josie Pirtle. He was preceded in death by his parents George Alfred and Norma Faye "Dickey" Miller, his wife Betty Jo Miller and a sister Sherry Archer. A Funeral service will take place on Sunday August 9, 2020  2 P. M. at the Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes Bicknell Chapel with Pastor John Moreland officiating. Friends and family may visit from 11 A.M. Until the time of the service. He will be laid to rest at Bicknell Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be made in Joe's memory to the North Knox Joe Miller Football Scholarship Fund. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.fredrickandson.com.
