Janice "Sisson" Arnold, age 51, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on December 26, 2025, in her hometown of Vincennes, IN, after a life rich in love and creativity. Born on July 6, 1974, in Belding, Michigan, Janice brought light and laughter to everyone around her.
Janice's life was a testament to her kind heart and creative spirit. She married the love of her life, William D. Arnold Jr., on November 24, 2024, in Vincennes, where they built a treasured life together. Janice was the dedicated mother to Sarah Elisabeth Vandenberg, William David Arnold III, and Daisy Lucille Arnold, all of Vincennes. Her love and guidance shaped the lives of her children, leaving a legacy of warmth and care.
In addition to her immediate family, Janice is survived by her devoted siblings, Carmon Ferman (Scott) of Belding, Michigan, Tabitha Pennington (Jeremy) also of Belding, and Carla Kaminski (Norman Jr.) of Holton, Michigan. Her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, along with the numerous exchange students she lovingly parented over the years, had the pleasure of experiencing her nurturing nature and passion for life.
Before meeting her husband William and becoming a cherished caregiver, Janice pursued her education, earning her Associate's Degree with determination and grace. Her work history was not only a career but a calling, as she expertly combined her innate empathy with her professional responsibilities to provide comfort and support to those she served.
Janice's interests were as varied as they were numerous. She found joy in art, exploring the depths of her imagination through vibrant creations. Her fascination with rocks and all things paranormal reflected her sense of wonder and curiosity. A skilled crafter, she delighted in creating beauty with her hands. Her culinary talents were relished at family gatherings—her baking and cooking were the centerpiece of many joyous occasions. Porch sitting and engaging in lively conversation were among her favorite pastimes, revealing her social nature and the ease with which she formed enduring friendships.
She was a treasured member of the Montcalm Community College Drama Club and Montcalm Community College Art Club throughout her life. Janice's enthusiasm for drama and theater was infectious, inspiring all who knew her to embrace the arts with an open heart.
Janice's kind and creative spirit will be remembered by all who knew her. Preceding her in death were her parents, Carl and Beth "Belanger" Sisson, her sister Tracie Sisson, her aunt Janice Lindemier, and her uncle Paul Lindemier. Their memories were held close in Janice's heart throughout her life, and the family takes comfort in the belief that she is now reunited with those she missed dearly.
