Obituary

James E. “Jim” Taylor, 75 of Washington, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023.

Jim was born on February 28, 1947 in Shoals, IN to the late Ethel and Ernest Earl Taylor.

Jim was a hard working man who served his country in the United States Army. He worked construction and had several rental properties. Jim enjoyed spending time with friends and family, music, and tinkering with things.

Those left to mourn the loss of Jim are; his former wife of nearly forty years, Sandy Taylor; children, Lisa Taylor Simmons, and Christina Helderman (Levi); grandchildren, Paige Simmons, Denver Simmons, Kolbi Simmons, Logan Helderman (Ebony Walls), Kayla Taylor, Chance McKinney; Ava Toney, Luca Helderman, and Emilia Helderman; great-grandchildren, Camille Simmons, Brielle Spaulding, Briley Selby, Lincoln Selby, Hallie Selby, and Timber Helderman; a brother, Joe Taylor; and many nieces and nephews; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by; a daughter, Shannon Taylor; and siblings, Esther McDaniel, Robert Taylor, and Margo Sluder.
