Jack Arvin Obituary

Jack L. Arvin, 82 of Washington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2022 with his family at his side.

 

Jack was born on July 11, 1939 in Gallup, New Mexico to the late Earl Arvin and Ruth Ritter Arvin.

 

Jack was a devoted family man who was married to Sherry L. Neukam on November 22, 1974 and they spent nearly forty years happily married; he was well known for his witty sense of humor. He was a member of Aikman Creek Baptist Church where he attended since childhood. Jack was a veteran of the United States Army, the Shriner’s, a32nd Degree Scottish Rite Freemason, and the Masonic Lodge. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt, and enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Alaska. Jack was a 1957 graduate of Washington High School and attended grade school in Glendale. Jack retired after over thirty-five years service as a Millwright for Whirlpool in Evansville.

 

Those left to mourn the loss of Jack are; his loving children, Robert A. Wilson II (Jennifer), Brent A. Wilson (Dawn), and Stacey Donaldson (Jim); fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren, two sisters, Brenda Mattingly (Michael), and JoAnn Lee; and many nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by; his wife, Sherry L. Arvin; and brothers, Donald Arvin, Darrell Arvin, Ronald Arvin; and two sisters, Imogene Baldrich, and Rita Jenkins.

 

Visitation will be held at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut Street Washington, IN 47501 on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M with a service following on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 11:00 A.M.  Burial will be in Aikman Creek Cemetery.
