Harry Taylor Obituary

Harry Michael Taylor, age 71, of Montgomery, IN, passed away on May 26, 2025, in Washington, IN. He was born in Loogootee, IN, on June 26, 1953, to William Eugene Taylor and Elizabeth Alice “Mattingly” Spaudling. Mike worked most of his life in Jasper and Otwell, IN, at the saw mill; he was a hard worker. He had chopped wood at his home for his wood stove.

Mike enjoyed oldies music such as “I’m the Duke of Earl” and “King of the Road.” His hobbies were his garden, fishing, mushroom hunting, and spending time with his many West End friends. The closest of these friends, Chrissy Wolack, whom he helped raise like a daughter, her husband Sean, and their daughters, Morgan and Reagan. His very best friends were his nephew, Jim Wadsworth (Mary), and his family.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Rick Wadsworth, Jack Wadsworth, and George Taylor, his sisters, Jeanne McCauley and Susie Morales, his brothers-in-law, Tim Speedy and David Jobe, and his nephews, Ricky Wadsworth and Bobby Jo Wadsworth. He leaves behind his wife, Diana “Speedy” Taylor, his sisters, Kay Wadsworth, Elizabeth Jobe, Cathy Spaudling, and Debbie Speedy, his brothers-in-law, Frank Speedy (Lyn), Homer Speedy, Steve Speedy, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
