Harold Wade Pinnick, age 98, a respected member of the Bicknell community, passed away at his home on December 24, 2025. Born on May 18, 1927, in Knox County, Indiana, Harold's life was one of dedication, hard work, and a deep love for those around him.
Harold proudly graduated from Bruceville High School in 1946, which laid the foundation for his strong work ethic and community involvement. After high school, he began what would become a remarkable career of service—first by enlisting in the United States Army as a Corporal and then committing himself to the growth and beauty of his community by working in Noble Sartor's peach orchards.
The year 1951 marked the beginning of two lifelong commitments: marrying his beloved sweetheart, Lorna Lee "Lindsay" Pinnick, and embarking on a fulfilling career at Crane that would span over thirty-one and a half years. His diligence and friendly personality were also familiar to many through his persistent work as a janitor for the American National Bank, AM Bank, and the Union Planters Bank, where he served the community with pride for twenty-eight and a half years.
Harold's life was characterized by his love for the outdoors and the joy he found in tending to his garden. His hands, often found covered in soil, spoke to the diligence and care he put into everything he touched. Harold brought life to not only plants but also to the relationships he cultivated throughout his years.
Survived by his loving son, Bryan Pinnick, and his brother, Richard Lee Pinnick, Harold leaves behind a legacy of perseverance, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to family. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Lorna Lee "Lindsay" Pinnick, who entered into Heaven in 2013, his devoted parents, Rush and Edith "Chansler" Pinnick, and his brother, Billy Max Pinnick, who passed in 2014.
Harold Wade Pinnick's memory will be treasured by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and his stories will be recounted with deep fondness. He was blessed in life for helping in the work of the Lord in many ways. His life stands as a testament to the virtues of commitment, service, and the nurturing of both land and love. Harold's presence will be sorely missed, but the fruits of his labor and the impact of his heart live on in the community of Bicknell, Indiana, which he so dearly served and loved.
There will be a graveside service with military honors on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Bicknell Memorial Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Matt Hoffman.
