Genevieve “Genny” L. (Baxter) Riester

Genevieve “Genny” Lousie (Baxter) Riester, 77 of Washington, Indiana passed away on July 20, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Genny was born on January 31, 1946, to Ernest and Lousie Baxter in Washington, Indiana. She was the youngest of six children.
Those left to mourn the loss of Genny are her two daughters; Tamara L. Moran of Washington, Madonna “Dee” L. Carrico of Washington, four grandchildren; Kelsie and Semsair Paul, Jennifer and Jakob Babrick, Lyndsey Carrico, and Aaron Carrico, five great grandchildren; Kiara Paul, Khristopher McNeely, Abby Paul, Liam Auberry, and Calvin Ramsaran, one sister, Mary Mumma and son in law Stephen R. Smith, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore B. Riester Sr, her son, Christopher Fry, two sons in laws; Patrick Carrico and Michael Moran, her parents; Ernest and Louise Baxter, her four siblings; Caroline Woodall, Shirley Wininger, Gary Baxter and Robert Baxter.
Genny loved spending time with her family and her fur- babies. She loved listening to music, playing games and taking care of others. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Washington, Indiana.
There will be visitation on Monday, July 24, 2023, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 5:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church, at 100 E. Walnut street, in Washington, Indiana. Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements for Mrs. Genevieve Riester. In lieu of flowers and gifts donations can be made to offset funeral expenses.
