Evelyn Chambon Obituary

Evelyn A. Chambon, 84 of Bicknell, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, August 6, 2020.

Evelyn was born August 7, 1935 in Carlisle, IN to the late James and Marjorie (Thewlis) Abrams 

Evelyn was a teacher’s aide; who loved all children. She was a softball coach, loved to sew, and she tried to never miss any grandchildren’s events. She enjoyed time with her family and her church family at First Baptist Church of Bicknell.

Evelyn is survived by; her loving husband, Terry Julian Chambon; children, Steve Purcell (Debbie) of UT, Susan Kenfield (Doug) of Gosport, Doug Chambon(Christy) of Newburgh, and Terri Vieck (Jeff) of Vincennes; 1 brother, James Abrams of Terre Haute; 6 grandchildren, Bethany Kay, Hali Chambon, Logan Vieck, Taylore Fitzsimmons, Kelby Chambon, and Connor Vieck; and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by; a sister, Betty Foschaar; and a brother, Don Abrams.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes, Bicknell Chapel. Burial will be in Bicknell Memorial Gardens. You may leave an online condolence at www.fredrickandson.com. Due to (Covid-19) the family has requested services be private. Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association, 50 E. 91st Street #100,Indianapolis, IN 46240.
