Duane L. Faith, a lifelong resident of Indiana, passed away peacefully in Oaktown, IN, on August 29, 2024, having been born in Bruceville, IN, on September 28, 1950. Known for his loving nature, quick wit, and friendly demeanor, Duane cultivated a life brimming with laughter, outdoor adventures, and cherished friendships.
A proud graduate of the local high school, Duane's commitment to his community was evident through his dedicated service working for the City of Bicknell. There, he not only oversaw the apartments but provided a sense of camaraderie and support, becoming a good friend to many of the tenants he so faithfully served.
Duane's love for the outdoors was unmistakable. He spent countless hours fishing, a pastime that brought him great joy and tranquility. His affinity for animals mirrored the intrinsic kindness in his heart, and his enthusiasm for foraging mushrooms was a testament to his appreciation for nature's simple gifts.
Remembered with fondness and affection, Duane leaves behind his loving son, Duane "Junior" Faith, his beloved grandsons, Kyle and Seth Faith, and his devoted siblings, Karen Roark (Jim), Deloris Bolenbaugh, Gayle Patel (Ritchie), Emily Ellerman, Joyce Meredith, Brenda Smith (Steve), Darrell Faith (Cookie), and Lonnie Faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen "Hagen" Faith, and respected brothers-in-law, Chris Ellerman and Phillip Bolenbaugh.
Duane's life was a reflection of joy and companionship, a narrative of a man who spread warmth and laughter wherever he went. He will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
