Dorothy Jean Cartwright Beebe passed away at her Evansville home on August 19, 2023, 2 days prior to her 100th birthday which she had so looked forward to. Dorothy was born at her family home south of Bicknell on August 21, 1923, the daughter of Ralph Cartwright and Martha Hollingsworth Cartwright Conrad. She married Charles A.
Beebe, the love of her life, on August 7, 1946 and they made their home in Edwardsport.
Dorothy was a graduate of Bicknell High School. She enjoyed working in her yard and garden, baking cookies for her family and reminiscing about life in small town
America that she witnessed when she worked as a secretary in Bicknell. Always thankful for the Asbury Chapel community of her childhood, she was an active member of the Bicknell Methodist Church while her health allowed and had served as Sunday School teacher, Superintendent of the Primary Department and a board member.
She also enjoyed singing along with George Beverly Shea when she was cooking.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Nancy Beebe and is Aunt Dorothy to Alan Conrad, Carol Ann Lew, Judy Harrell, Gloria Fry and John Risch. She was thankful for her extended family Ruth A Hunt, Sard Becher and Leah Hamilton.
