Dennis Wayne Sidebottom

Dennis Wayne Sidebottom passed away on March 12, 2025, in Plainfield, IN. Born on November 9, 1957, in Marion County, IN, Dennis grew up surrounded by the love of his parents, James Wendell Sidebottom and Norma Louise "Smith" Sidebottom. He carried their legacy of kindness and strength throughout his life.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Debra "Killion" Sidebottom, his children, Gil Sidebottom (Stacee), Jordon "Zac" Sidebottom (Jennifer), and Josiah Hobson (Bethany), and his adored five grandchildren who were the light of his life. His loving siblings, Tina Kelly (Kip), Candace Parker (Barry), James Sidebottom (Loni), and Jerry Sidebottom (Vivian), will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Terry Sidebottom, and his grandparents, Ralph and Treva Smith.

A graduate of Washington High School, Dennis went on to work at Perdue Farms, where he contributed valuable research to the industry. Dennis united with his wife, Debra, in marriage on November 3rd, 1979 in Washington, IN.

Dennis was an ardent fan of both the Miami Dolphins, Indiana Pacers, and Indianapolis Colts, a passion he shared with fellow sports enthusiasts. Above all, his joy was centered around his grandchildren, with whom he spent much of his time.

Although he will be deeply missed by his family, Dennis Sidebottom's profound impact on those who loved him will forever resonate in their hearts.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home with service following at noon officiated by Adam Sidebottom.
