David A Stephens

David Stephens, 69, passed away at 7:00 am, Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, Indiana.
 
David was born October 17, 1951 in Vincennes, Indiana, to the late Pat (Burton) Stephens Spanger.  He married Dixie (Humble) May Stephens December 7, 1972, and she survives her husband.  
 
David was retired from Duke Energy where he was a boiler operator.  In retirement, he was an avid golfer and hunter, and a member and former treasurer of the Bicknell French Club. David was a devoted grandpa and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
 
Survivors of David Stephens include:  his wife, Dixie, children:  Richard May, Ryan (Jennifer) May, and Robin Coplen, and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  
 
In addition to his mother, David was preceded in death by his step-father, Chick,  sister, Gail, and a brother, Dean.
 
Services for David A. Stephens will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021, 11:00 am at the Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Bicknell Chapel, 109 E. 6th Street, Bicknell, Indiana.  Pastor Jon McKinnon will officiate.  Interment will be in the Edwardsport Cemetery.  
 
Visitation will be held at the Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Bicknell Chapel, 109 E. 6th Street, Bicknell, Indiana, Friday, April 16, 2021, 4:00-7:00 p.m.  Visitation will be also be held at 10:00-11:00 am on Saturday, April 17, 2021.
