David Coleman Rinsch

David Coleman Rinsch, 68, went to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. David passed at Good Samaritan Hospital after a long illness. David was a lifelong resident of Freelandville, where he was affectionately known as “Worm”. David was an avid farmer and worked the ground his entire life. During his last few years, he enjoyed taking mule rides and visiting friends. David always had a story or joke to share with anyone willing to listen. 

David was born on December 9, 1954, to Paul and Eva Coleman Rinsch in Vincennes. David was a graduate of North Knox High School. On January 29, 1977, he married the love of his life, Nancy McCrary Rinsch. David was a member of the Bethel Church in Freelandville.

Those left to mourn are his loving wife, Nancy, and his children Matthew Rinsch of Freelandville , Jill Carnahan (Steve) of Carlisle and a sister Carol Mischler(Mark) of Brownsburg. David also has raised his grandson Russell Harbin from a young age and he is also blessed with granddaughters, Olivia Rinsch of Terre Haute and Jalen Phegley and grandson Jordan Phegley.

David is preceded in death by; his parents; a daughter Allison Rinsch and a brother Phillip Rinsch.

A visitation will be held Saturday August 12, 2023 at Freelandville Bethel Church. Visitation is from 10 am to 12 noon with the service to follow. Pastor Bryan Taylor will be officiating the service with burial following in Bethel Cemetery.
