Daniel J Payne

Daniel J Payne, 78, Bicknell, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Daniel was born August 23, 1942 in Bicknell, the son of Millard and Snowful (Riggle) Payne. Daniel married Virginia Racey who passed away on January 31, 2002.  Daniel worked in home improvement and owned his own business.  He loved golfing, fishing, the Indianapolis Colts and the St. Louis Cardinals.  Daniel is survived by his 3 children, Leila ( Nick) Drogich of Bicknell, Danetta (Max) Strate of Sullivan, and Leslie (Shelley) Payne of Bicknell; brother, Charles Weslie Payne of Westphalia; sisters, Ardella Smith of Vincennes, Betty Racey of Bicknell, Ruthie Bryant of Jacksonville, Florida, Zuella Stremming of Petersburg, and Carolyn Payne of Vincennes; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia;  brothers, John Payne and Arthur Payne; sister, Joann Rall.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Word of Life Church, 7144 N Russell Dr., Bicknell, Indiana  on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 1:00 pm with visitation from 11:00 am until time of service.  Please honor all COVID-19 guidelines and social distancing.
