After high school, Curtis dedicated himself to a hardworking life and retired after many years in the coal hauling industry. His love for the earth's natural gifts was evident in his favorite pastimes—whether he was deer hunting, fishing, or simply being outside. The joy of his life extended to his grandchildren Kia Moore (Piper Nacke), Kierra Lewis (Shane Tallman), and Allyson Lewis, and his great-granddaughter, Aspyn Tallman, who will cherish memories of their kind-hearted patriarch. Curtis’s brother, Kerry Land (Sharon), sisters-in-law Dana Churchill and Lisa Sanders, his loyal dog Lucky, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, will remember his gentle spirit.
