Christi A. Gentry

On September 12, 2021, we lost the rock of our family, our wonderful mother, Christi A. Gentry 72 of Vincennes. She passed away peacefully at her residence after a brief illness, while surrounded by her loving family at her side. She was very loved and cherished, and her family stood beside her just had she them for many years.

Christi in her younger years loved to; fish, play cards, bowl, and always enjoyed cook-outs and fish-fry’, and any kind of family gathering, listening to music, and doing ancestory. She was a cook/bartender for over 30 years at her grandfather’s tavern, “Bud Small” along side her husband.

She is survived by; children, Kelly Erwin (Robert Woodward) of Vincennes, Gina Zeabart (Terry) of Decker, IN, Lori Wilson (David) of Vincennes, Brian Gentry of Osgood, IN, and Bryson Helderman of Vincennes; grandchildren, Colby Erwin (Dawn), Joseph Woodward, Mackenzie Gentry (Tristan Seals), Macy Gentry, Jackson Zeabart, David Wilson III, Blake Wilson, Dearani Abel (Brian), Christian Jaral (Kelsey Tindell), Kyle Jaral (Lynsey), Lyric Miller, and Zander Gentry; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Vicki Devin, Tami Kinman (Phillip), Cindi Deffendall, Michael Ivers, Verne Ivers, and Shannon Ali; brother-in-law, Jim Lee; close friend of many years, Sherry Rickard of Bruceville; and many nieces and nephews, who referred to her as Aunt Ris. 

She was preceded in death by; her parents, Charles and Glenna Conrad; husband, Ferrell Gentry Jr.; brothers, Kim Conrad, and Joe Conrad; and a sister, Rebecca Conrad.
