Obituary

Celeste Angel McCormick 80 of Edwardsport, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022.

 

Celeste was born on February 10, 1942 in Indianapolis to the late Violet May O’Conner and Michael O’Conner.

 

She was a 1960 graduate of Bicknell High School and worked as a CNA in Pediatrics for Good Samaritan Hospital. She enjoyed; shopping with friends, spending time with family, and traveling.

 

Celeste is survived by; loving husband, Paul McCormick; children, Curt McCormick of Freelandville, Cathy Kixmiller (John) of Bruceville, Cheryl Mundy (Bob) of Bicknell; and best friend, Carol Plummer of Carlisle; nine grandchildren, Tommy and Paul McCormick, Amanda Dettloff, Kameron Kixmiller, Katelyn Kixmiller, Ian Kixmiller, Karly Jo Monk, Tyler Mundy, and Emily Carroll; four great-grandchildren; sibling, Michael (Carol) O’Conner.

 

She was preceded in death by; her parents; a daughter, Candy Jo McCormick; sister, Theo Yagle; and a brother, Kevin O’Conner; grandson Bruce McCormick and a step-mother, Geraldine O’Conner.

 

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 1:00 in St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church with visitation at the church from 11:00 A.M.until the time of service. Burial will follow in Bicknell Memorial Gardens. You may leave online condolences at www.fredrickandson.com. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital, 500 N.
