On January 30, 2018, we sadly lost a wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend, Cathy Jean (Lucas) Wolaver, 59, Vincennes, went peacefully at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. Cathy was born November 1, 1958, in Vincennes. She married her beloved husband, Clint Wolaver on September 9, 2003 in Wasilla, AK. She worked for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. She also worked for Walmart in Vincennes and Wasilla, AK, as well as maintenance at Vincennes University. Cathy loved to be outdoors, fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening and caring for her beloved dogs. She loved doing home improvement projects, listening to music and singing, and collecting Coca Cola memorabilia.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Clint Wolaver of Vincennes; mother, Anna Lucas of Vincennes; children, Tommy Lee (Samilla Neal) Lucas of Newcastle and Christopher E. (Kadie Wolford) Lucas of Vincennes; grandchildren, Tobias Lucas of Newcastle, Jenny Shay Lucas of Newcastle, Britnee Wolaver of Vincennes; sisters, Deborah Calvert of Vincennes, Linda Shots of Vincennes, Judith Doane of Vincennes, Jim (Sue) Lucas of Vincennes and Rose (Chris) Lowe of Vincennes; brothers, William (Christy) Lucas of Kokomo; and best friend, Adria (Bud) Reas of Vincennes.
She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Joe Lucas; and nieces, Christina Lucas Hayes and Madison Rose Jaquet.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. on Sunday, February 4, 2018. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.fredrickandson.com.
