Brian Keith Carie

Brian Keith Carie, 54 of Vincennes, went to his heavenly home on August 18, 2023.
Brian was born on December 20, 1968 in Vincennes to the late Monica Kramer Carie and Raphael Carie. He married Christine Stewart on Saturday, September 20, 1997 in Vincennes.
Brian was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Parish St. John church. He was a graduate of Rivet high school and Vincennes University where he excelled in baseball.  While holding pitching records at Rivet he went on to play at Vincennes University and Indiana State University where he was scouted and drafted by the Cincinnati Reds. While declining this opportunity, Brian continued to share his love of baseball by coaching his son Zack on many little league teams.. He enjoyed baseball, I.U. Basketball, watching Zack race motocross and was his son’s biggest fan and mechanic and he also  loved fixing things.  He was employed by Toyota for 23 years.
Those left to mourn the loss of Brian are; his loving wife, Christine Carie; a son, Zachary Carie of Vincennes; siblings, Linda Trant of Montpelier, IN, Marie Carie of Vincennes, Kevin Carie (Cathy) of Vincennes; sisters-in-law, Susan Battles (Kreg) of Vincennes, and Jana Howder of Bruceville, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by; his parents; mother-in-law, June Stewart; an infant sister, Mary Ann Carie, and two brothers-in-law, Jay Howder, and Jerry Trant.
There will be visitation held at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Vincennes Chapel on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. There will be a Mass held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at St. John’s Catholic Church. The family welcomes online condolences to be left at www.fredrickandson.com.
