Bradley Frank Coats

Bradley F. Coats, 50, of Bicknell, IN, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Born on May 22, 1974, in Vincennes, IN, he was the son of Frank Coats and Debbie Messel, also of Bicknell.

Brad was a 1992 graduate of North Daviess High School.  He entered the United States Navy at age 18 and continued to serve for the next 5 years.  Brad then joined the Air Force National Guard in Terre Haute, IN.  He retired as a Master Sgt serving in the 1st Sgt role for the 181st Security Forces Squadron. Over his 22 years of service, he was able to see and travel the world.  Brad spent many years in the coal industry, a family tradition, that was carried with a lot of pride.  Most recently, Brad worked at NLT Digital Solutions as Director of North America. 

He is survived by his parents, Frank Coats and Debbie (Randy) Messel of Bicknell; his children, Lillian and Matthew Coats of Fort Branch; a sister, Sara (Carl) Lemons of Vincennes; and nephews Caleb (Sydney) Lemons of Vincennes and Camden Lemons of Terre Haute.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew Coats; and grandparents, Wilma Coats, Farrell Ray, and Don and Gwen Messel.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 at 11:30am at Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made in Brad's memory to the Tunnel To Towers Foundation at www.t2t.org and to A Warrior's Garden at https://awarriorsgarden.com/shop/ols/products/in-memoriam-of-bradley-coats. Online condolences and fond memories may be shared at www.fredrickandson.com.
