Billy “Bill” Wininger Obituary

Billy (Bill) Wininger, 71, of Montgomery, Indiana went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022.

He was born on January 28th, 1951 to the late Franklin and Janis (Gladish) Wininger. On December 31st, 2009, Bill married Sondra Wininger.

Bill worked as a Millwright Welder- General Motors- Central Foundry in Bedford, Indiana, was a Proud member of the UAW Local 440 and a member of 20th Century Chevy. Of the accomplishments that Bill achieved in life nothing was more valuable than his Christian Faith and family. He was a Devout Christian, loved his dogs, was a devoted father, papaw, and husband. Bill was also a member of Church of Christ Church in Washington.

Those left to mourn the loss of Bill are; his loving wife Sondra; Two daughters, Dustye (Jon) McCallon, and Billie (Mark) Chandler; a sister, Cindy (Larry) Shaw; grandchildren, Kallie (Reagan) Bryant, Eli Nash Chandler, Marcus (Cathy) Chandler, Tyler Chandler, Maci McCallon, Luci McCallon, Molly McCallon; great grandchildren, Blake Chandler and Ruby Chandler; Special friends, Jerry Ziegler, Dale Moody, Tony Fuhs, and Jim Fuhs, and Norb Fuhs; step daughter; Joanna Courtney and Deborah Courtney; step son, Matthew Courtney; step grandchildren, Casey McCracken, Triston Thombleson, Kendrick Thombleson and Kiara Moser.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Franklin, and Janis (Gladish) Wininger, and first wife, Barbara Wininger and second wife, Judy Wininger. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23rd,2022 from 10:00 A.M until 1:00 P.M.  with a service immediately following at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Heart Association. Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral home is honored to be entrusted with Bill’s arrangements.
