Billy Montgomery Obituary

Billy Ray Montgomery, 69, of Vincennes, IN, passed away on November 13, 2023. He was born to William Montgomery and Mary "Armstrong" Cardinal on September 19, 1954. He married Karlena (Catt) Montgomery on Saturday, September 25, 1971, in Vincennes, IN.

Bill was in the US Army and retired from Hostess Bakery. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, IU basketball, Cubs baseball and Bears football.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Karlena Montgomery; daughter, Kristi Carney (Shawn) of Indianapolis, IN; granddaughter, Kaycee Lhotlka (David); great grandchildren, Kenna, Kyler, Kasen, and Krew Lhotka; brother, Ross Montgomery (Robin) of Vincennes, IN; sister, Cindy Majewski of Bicknell, IN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Montgomery and Mary "Armstrong" Cardinal; a son, Billy Ray Montgomery Jr.; and a brother, Charles Dwayne Montgomery.

Per Bill's request, he will be cremated, and no service will be held. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
