Obituary

Billy Joe Arnold 74, of Washington went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. 

Bill, as he was known by friends and family, was born in Petersburg on July 29, 1948 to the late Leo Arnold and Velma Pauline Andrus Arnold.  

Billy Joe was a 1966 graduate of Petersburg High School. Bill was a Vietnam Veteran and was retired from Crane Naval Base. He enjoyed collecting antique cars, antique licenses and also antique radios.  

Those left to mourn the loss of Bill Arnold are; brother-in-law, John I. Allison; a nephew, John David Allison (Kim) of Washington; three great- nieces; one great nephew; and many dear friends. 

He was preceded in death by; parents, and only sister, Sue Allison of Washington. 

There will be a service on Monday, March 6, 2023 1:00 P.M. at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home with a visitation from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Anderson Chapel Cemetery of Petersburg. Please leave online condolences at www.gillsince1872.com.
