Billie E. Norris

Billie Ernestine Norris of Indianapolis, IN passed into eternity on Sunday afternoon, September 19, 2021 at Avon Health & Rehabilitation Center in Avon, IN. Her son, Mike, was by her side. Billie was 94 years old and the oldest of five children born to Lester and Dorothy (McCracken) Clark of Daviess County Indiana. Born on September 1, 1927, at home, in Glendale IN.

Billie loved and valued her time with family and friends most of all. She was always eager to pass time in the outdoors, traveling or shopping!  She enjoyed such hobbies as painting and crochet. She studied cosmetology and worked as a beautician and homemaker. Billie retired from Avon Aviation Electronics.

Billie is survived by her brother, Jon Clark of Washington, IN and her four children: son, Wes Norris, Speedway, IN; son, Mike Norris, Clermont, IN; daughter, Libby Hurst, Buford, GA; son, Mark Norris, Brown County, IN. Nine grand-children, and ten great grand-children. Billie was preceded in death by her three sisters: Dee Naylor, Camilla Scales, and Sharon McDonald as well as her granddaughter, Casey Norris and great grandson, Alexander Borden.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday September 25, 2021at Gill Funeral Home in Washington, IN. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. The family would be honored if you are able to attend. You may leave online condolences at www.gillsince1872.com.

Interment will follow at East Union Cemetery in Daviess County, IN.
