Ansalea “Ancy” Kaiser Obituary

Ansalea “Ancy” Kaiser, 71, left this earth for her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 7th, 2022. She was surrounded by family who loved her dearly.
Ancy is survived by her husband, Steve Kaiser of Bruceville, her children Angela (Jason) Huff and Chris Kaiser, and grandsons Ben Huff, Owen Huff, and Jonah Kaiser, all of Greencastle. Her brother, Dennis (Sarah) McCarter, and sisters Tammie (Wayne) Holscher and Mary (Andy) Worland also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell McCarter Jr and Dolores “Toots” McCarter, and three siblings, Russell “Buddy” McCarter III, Douglas McCarter, and Tim McCarter. She was also preceded in death by her Great Grandmother, Ethel Mengedoht, with whom she shared a very special relationship.
Ansalea was a farm wife for more than 40 years, working alongside her husband in the fields as well as managing their home and family. She took great pride in her beautiful yard and gardens, and was known for her wonderful cooking and baking skills, sharing the fruits of her labor with family and friends.
She loved antiquing and refinishing furniture, much of which she sold through her Liberty House Antiques shop in Bruceville. She enjoyed helping friends and customers decorate their homes and especially loved visiting with them in her store.
She loved her small town, where she organized and ran the annual Bruceville Community Yard Sales for twenty years.
Ancy found a new joy when she became a grandmother, and spent many hours on the road traveling to spend time with her grandsons. She loved having the boys for extended stays on the farm, and always made their favorite foods including homemade pizza, noodles, and popcorn, at midnight, when they were together.
In recent years, Ancy battled Ovarian Cancer. She courageously fought and won against the disease three times with her last round of chemo wrapping in May.
A private family graveside service will be held at a future date. Ansalea will be laid to rest at Mariah Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to make donations in Ansalea’s name to Chemo Buddies at chemobuddies.org or to the Bruceville Methodist Church, Box 81, Bruceville, Indiana.
