Amy Jo Newell, aged 49, passed away on February 11, 2024, in Bicknell, Indiana. Born in Vincennes on July 9, 1974, to the late James Everett Sweeney and Dorothy Jean Fox Frye, Amy lived a life fueled by adventure.

A mother and grandmother, her legacy is carried on by her children, Anthony Gardner (Lindsey), Garrett Gardner (Courtney), Zane Gardner (Bethaney), Richelle Johnson (Gabriel), and Xzavier Cox; along with her cherished seven grandchildren.

She is also remembered by her caring brother, James Sweeney (Angela) of Bicknell. Amy’s vibrant spirit, and kind soul touched numerous lives, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her life’s story will continue to be told through the laughter and love she left behind.
