Sondera Hunckler

Sondera Hunckler, 75, Houston, TX, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 at her residence. Sondera was born May 14, 1942, in Bruceville, the daughter of Fred and Alma (Gremore) Raney. She married Ivan Hunckler Sr. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, making blankets and flower arranging. She was a great friend, mother and grandmother.

Sondera is survived by her children, Ivan Hunckler Jr. of Houston, TX, Michelle “Sis” Hunckler of Houston, TX and Christopher Hunckler of Houston, TX, Danielle Slye of Houston, TX; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Mike Raney; sisters, Sharolette (Paul) Hunckler, Ada Stiles and Sharon McClure; and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivan; granddaughter, Kelly Sue Hunckler and a great friend, Steve Self.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dave Fleck officiating at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of service. She will be laid to rest at Mt.
