Ruby Opal Sievers

Ruby Opal Sievers, 93, Vincennes, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Bridgepointe Health Campus. Ruby was born February 3, 1925, in Vincennes, the daughter of William O. and Helena (Cardinal) Evans. She married Raymond Sievers. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary.
Ruby is survived by her children, Barbara Dutton of Vincennes, Marie (Joe) DeLisle of Vincennes, Raymond (Jackie) Sievers of Vincennes, Mark (Janet) Sievers of Vincennes, Karl (Sherry) Sievers of Bruceville and Patricia Nowaskie of Vincennes; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Dale Evans of Monroe, MI; and sisters, Marge Ruppel of New Albany and Lois Ruppel, of Vincennes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; brothers, Wayne and Paul Evans; sisters, Ruth Figg and Wanda Evans; grandson, Davin Nowaskie; and step-grandchild, Zachary Arnold.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 12:00 noon at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be held also on Friday at the church from 10:00 AM until time of Mass. She will be laid to rest at St. Vincent’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
