Robert Racey Sr. Obituary

Robert Wayne Racey Sr., 80, of Bicknell, passed away June 11, 2019, at his home in Bicknell.  He was born on, December 1,1938, in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Charles and Bethal (Moss) Racey. He married Carla Hall and she survives.

Bob honorably served his country in the Marines, and was retired from Amax.  He enjoyed gardening, boating, camping, playing cards and traveling. He enjoyed spending time at the Lighthouse/Karusso Koffee House and the Helping Hands. Bob also ran the Lighthouse Ministry.  He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Word of Life Church in Bicknell, the United Mine workers and the VA. 

Along with his spouse Bob is survived by the mother of his children Betty Jo (Payne) Racey; Sons; Robert W Racey Jr. of Booneville, Thomas H Racey of Bicknell, Randall J Racey of Bicknell, Darrell Joe Racey of Vincennes, Bruce A Racey of Missouri and Ronnie l Racey of Vincennes, son-in-law Leo V. Perez of Kansas City Missouri; Daughters Brandy D. Mackey, Brianna N Abrams, daughter-in-law Cindi Racey all of Bicknell and Tammy J Racey of Kansas City, Missouri.  13 Grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; and brother Larry ”Rex” Racey of Bicknell also survives. 

A Memorial service will take place on Saturday June15, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Word of Life Church, 7144 Russell Dr. Bicknell, Indiana 47512. With Pastor John Moreland presiding. The all Weather Firing Squad will Honor Bobs Service to his country at the Church.
